This was an important message shared by our children yesterday when the Police & Crime Commissioner came to Cape to launch his latest initiative to slow down traffic, especially around schools. Local traffic officers were on hand to do a community speed watch event. One man was even caught doing 27mph in a 20mph zone. Some of the children in year 5 had created signs to remind the public to slow down and happily waved and pointed to the sign as drivers went by.
