We had a very special visitor in school today. Becky Redfern, paralympic gold medalist, came to Cape to tell the children her truly inspirational story. She did 3 assemblies and then went to visit all of the classes showing off her paralympic medals, some of the children even got to try them on. The children asked some fantastic questions and found out about why Becky is a paralympian and how she lost her full sight to a condition called tunnel vision.
If you were inspired by Becky's story why not have a go at swimming, not only is it great exercise but it is also a life saving skill that you never know when you might need. Did you know that children under 18 in Sandwell can also swim for free. Click here to find out more.
